Thanks to our twenty-year know-how in EPS shell moulding for helmets and to the great influence of the American MTB market, the Limar brand is born.

1988

After an intensive research and development period, Limar starts the realization of specially designed bike helmets

First world’s helmet made in the same colors of a team thanks to an innovative material called PETG. Team Gatorade was the first cycling team wearing an helmet with the same shirt colors.

Model F104, the world’s lightest bike helmet, is launched. Its destiny to revolutionize all traditional standards.

1999

Limar creates the first In-Mould helmet. This new production process allows a great reduction in weight yet ensuring a great impact resistance to the helmet

Limar introduces the first wheel sizing system, light and easy to adjust, for perfect comfort and fit.

PRO 104, the world’s lightest helmet – 180 grams only – is born. This new goal is achieved thanks to our exclusive monocoque in-mould technology.

Limar introduces the brand new Ultralight PRO104. Its 170 grams makes it definitely the world’s lightest cycling helmet.
